Bio:
Heidi is super affectionate, loves being brushed and especially scratched under the chin. However, she is sensitive to being overstimulated when being brushed or petted (and will let you know with gentle claws), so best to keep it under the chin and around the head to be safe.
She loves sitting on your lap when she can - but she's' a BIG cat and can be quite heavy after a while. If she can't sit on you, she'll do her best to sit as close to you as possible.
Heidi has not quite figured out how to fully retract her claws so she needs a home without precious furniture or carpets that may accidentally get inadvertently damaged.
Her previous person has said that she has never experienced Heidi exhibiting what can be "typical" tortie behaviour. It's only when Heidi's been overstimulated from petting that she gets feisty. She loves affection, kisses and smooches and will return the favour.
She LOVES other cats, tolerates humans - until she gets attached to you. We have been told that maybe having her with a younger cat/kitten may also work well in terms of matching her with another unknown cat.
Heidi does talk - she's got a ridiculously cute tiny kitten meow for a big cat. She loves playing with toys and goes completely BONKERS around catnip - seems to have a big effect on her. She prefers to stay on the ground versus exploring and jumping up on things , aside from occasionally sitting on her windowsill in the sun.
Heidi would benefit from some outdoor activity - even if it's in a catio.
